What sort of containers/ cabins do Sweeney Containers supply?
Sweeney Containers Ltd stock a range of 10ft, 20ft, 40ft new and used containers, for sale or hire. We also supply a range of office cabins, from 10ft to 40ft, depending on client requirements. Additonally we have a selection of toilets, Covid-19 hygiene stations and modified options for individual client needs.
How do I find out about availability or get a quotation?

How do I place an order?
You can email us or phone Patrick directly to place an order.
What information is required before an order is accepted?
We will require full name and address of the person/company placing the order, with a valid email address. Additional details such as company registration numbers may be required.
How do I pay?
For container/cabin hire we require a deposit payment to cover four weeks hire and return transport costs. Monthly bills are issued, allowing you the option of bank transfer, direct debit or GoCardless. Cash payments are discouraged, especially in view of current Covid-19 restrictions. For sales, our terms and conditions are 30 days from date of invoice.
Do you accept card payments?
Yes – we accept payment via all major credit/debit cards. Please be aware that there might be additional costs/handling fees for credit card transactions.
Do we need to insure the hired equipment?
Yes – once delivered to your location, the hired equipment becomes your responsibility.
How do I ensure that you can deliver to my property?
Our units are delivered via a truck with a mounted crane. In certain circumstances (e.g., outsize units/ difficult to access sites) a large mobile crane unit may be required. Where possible, Eircode’s of site locations should be provided to aid our drivers in efficient delivery. In some instances, pre-delivery site visits may be required to ensure safe access with lorry.
How much does Transport cost?
Transport costs are calculated on location. All transport costs will be clearly indicated and agreed before delivery. Please contact us to discuss further.
Do we need foundations or concrete prepared before we order a unit?
We recommend that the surface that the container/cabin is being located on is level and compact. Concrete is not necessary; a hardcore standing area is sufficient.
Can the units be connected to services?
Our units are pre-tested and ready for connection to services. It is the responsibility of the customer to connect the unit to the relevant services i.e. water or power.
Do we need planning permission?
Please do not assume that planning permission is not required, as the unit is portable. We would encourage all customers to contact their relevant local authority for clarification.

How do I end my hire period?
We require written/email notice of end of hire and collection will arranged on receipt of same.
